Good thing it’s not often you have to deal with that in England.

I had the same with my mom’s car.  It started drizzling.  I finished, pulled it into the garage, and towel dried it again.  I wanted to get the wax on right away before the cat left her mark on the hood.

We’ve just had a three month heatwave, sometimes reaching mid to high 20s Celsius. Even this morning at 6am it was over 10 Celsius.

The boot sticker on the Golf seems off. I mean, it is now, but do you clean it that often? :P

The owner usually does it. She’s quite particular about her car, but she’s teacher her daughter how to drive at the moment and too busy doing other stuff to clean it herself. She trusts me with it.

The ‘L’ plate is slightly off level but the picture makes it look more so.

Please do come polish up my escort, it’s more pink than red on top-side surfaces as it stands, not counting the massive amounts of grease/oil-fingers marks on the entire front :D

Jokes aside, i really should give it a polish once i catch up on all the mechanicals...

The thing with single stage red paint that’s oxidised into chalky pink is it’s so easy to bring back with a medium polish and a dual action polisher, follow up with a finishing polish (not always necessary) then protect with a good wax or sealant.

Yeah i polished a little 30x30 square on the hood to test when i bought a cheap little rotary polisher, really helped on just that spot with a quicker over :P  J ust never got around to doing the full thing

It’s a great feeling when you turn it from chalky pink to red, even though it’s an easy enough job, it’s still gives a great sense of achievement to see such a big change.

Probably up there with seeing it freshly painted and shiny!
