Took the Twingo on a bit of a back road drive yesterday (well, the closest we have to resembling a proper back road around here), and came across this brilliant backlight. Jumped out of the car and took this shot.

Also notice that the road looks very twisty, while in reality it’s just two slight bends followed by a 90 degree right...

Thanks! It’s been a great first car for the past 5 years. It’s starting to itch to get something new though, but on the other hand I want to keep the Twingo, as it’s still perfectly fine and has had all the expensive services last year (full service+cam belt) .

Just a few short bits that are nice to drive, but most of it is mediocre at best. Not having any mountains/hills doesn’t help in that ...

That’s great, I’m in the US so I can’t get a Twingo but I had a 2005 Corolla Le as the first car I bought myself and loved it. I upgraded to a 2011 Camry when I got Tboned when a van driver ran a red light. The Camry is better overall but I miss the lighter and better handling of the Corolla.

Yeah, lightness can make a car so much more fun in corners. It’s always g ood to hear that I’m not the only one on here that loves ordinary cars :)

Same here, I take crap for driving “boring” cars sometimes but I got to do what’s right for me and what I like. I need cheap and reliable while I’m in college and I like what I’ve bought so far so I try not to pay attention to the negative feedback. It is nice to hear something positive though!

This was my Corolla with the steel wheels I painted myself and the black ‘S’ style grille instead of the crome stock version. I think it looked pretty sweet.

I know exactly what you mean, I have a ‘boring’ car for the same reasons.
