My coworker wanted to get some seats for his garage, so we went to junkyard. Original plan was to get some electric E90 sport seats as the E9X cars can now be found in junkyards. Found a 2007 with some decent electric sport seas, but they were in a position where we couldn’t access the rear bolts. As a result, we ended up pulling the regular manual seats from this 201 0 E90.
Believe they’re sensatec, but that might be a positive thing. They should clean up very nicely.
Not a bad way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Is this a junkyard for cars that were in wrecks, as I see some newer stuff in there.

Yup!

Numerous reasons they end up there, but it seemed like your average self service junkyard. Newer cars tend to be wrecked, and older cars are either wrecked or just worn out. This was the place we went to.

Good score! How hot and muggy was it for you? I spent Saturday in the Columbia Pull-A-Part and it was bad once the sun really started to shine down on us.

I wore my coveralls and was a little hungover, so I was a little warm, but it wasn’t too bad.

Sensatec is underrated, it’s very durable. Also I see some nice wheels on some of those cars!

My 3 has a sensatec interior, I quite like it actually. There were some decent cars there, I don’t remember seeing cars like this in the self service yards.

I guess still another 4-5 years before F30s show up in U-pick yards... I need a combox or an NBT unit , lol.

That’s probably right. I don’t recall seeing E90s before the earliest ones were 10 years old.

Those are my seats.
