I said to him as he pulled out of the shop...
Yes, these are original 2002 tires on a 2003 Viper with 10k miles on it.
Yikes.

Awe, but they have plenty of tread left mang!

In Sherlock’s words, too much stupid in the room.

sounds like a perfect excuse for burnouts and donuts.

Th e car is actively trying to kill you at all times . Why help it?

Send them out in a blaze of glory

Probably okay if just driven in parades, but otherwise yikes, 15 year old tires on a viper.
![]() 08/20/2018 at 16:05 |

The safest and most entertaining use of these tires is to generate some sweet, sweet 2002 smoke.
![]() 08/20/2018 at 16:10 |

Nothing like some 2002-era Smoke
![]() 08/20/2018 at 16:13 |

Do you think the owner hasn’t changed the tires out of cheapness or stupidity?
![]() 08/20/2018 at 16:15 |
|
I assume they take pride in having “ everything original” on their car.
![]() 08/20/2018 at 16:24 |

10000 miles on 220 threadwear on original tires on a viper.....
![]() 08/20/2018 at 16:25 |
|
Story I got is that its a family heirloom , being handed down and was always garaged. Now someone drove it and it has issues..
![]() 08/20/2018 at 16:28 |
|
Maybe it had less than 10000 miles...
![]() 08/20/2018 at 16:30 |

“still on original tires”
“curb rash on wheels”
![]() 08/20/2018 at 16:55 |

I’m shocked. SHOCKED!
![]() 08/20/2018 at 17:04 |

Who woulda thunk it, a Dodge that sat for ten+ years would have electrical gremlins and oil leaks.
And worn out cracked 16 year old tires.
![]() 08/20/2018 at 17:07 |

Just looked while it was up in the air... right rear is down to the wear bars. Others are getting just as bad. Cracks between the treads. YEESH.
![]() 08/20/2018 at 17:07 |

Well I for one am shocked. I’m even more shocked when people bring in their old cars for smog and they failed. And it’s even worse because they only drove it a few hundred miles since the last smog. It’s SHOCKING!
![]() 08/20/2018 at 17:16 |

why would some one leave such old tires on a car....plus 220 tread wear should be worn out by 10k miles .....
![]() 08/20/2018 at 17:44 |

That gen Viper has aged pretty well I'd say.
![]() 08/20/2018 at 17:46 |

But the hood opens the wrong way
![]() 08/20/2018 at 19:11 |

That, as they say, is not good.

2002 tyres are too new.

![]() 08/21/2018 at 16:51 |

seriously, i cant comprehend the reasoning for having the 3rd gens open from the nose instead of from the windshield, especially since they went back to opening the right way on 4th gens

Went back for some screen shots and its deleted, lol.

They look doofy as fuck open, too, especially if you also have the trunk open at the same time.
