Wet sanded the hatch lights then went out to install them and noticed a half gallon of water in my passenger footwell. Hmmm....
Drain hose popped off of the passenger front sunroof drain due to shrinkage in the rubber. I stretched and pulled and got it back on for now but that’s going to need a more permanent fix in the future.
800, 1000, 2000, 2500 grit sandpaper and then some plastic polish. Decent result.
Here’s how bright the tails were with the tint
And here’s the after. Much better.

Looks good, but I learned the rubber door surroundon the rr door shurnk and does not fit properly which is probably why the inside feels moist after it rains. But I've fixed nothing this week on house or car.

Well done, I hate blacked out taillights. This is a definite improvement.

Don’t you think its way past time to ditch the alteza light look and go back to factory lights?
![]() 08/19/2018 at 21:38 |

Those are the factory lights... the car is literally called a “Toyota Altezza” in Japan and is known for popularizing that look.
