A running & driving diesel oldsmobile.
Kudos to the owner for keeping a piece of forgotten automotive history alive.

But is it still a diesel? A lot of them got converted.

Hearing it pull it, for sure.

Stunning. Stunning it’s still in one piece. Stunning it isn’t a rustbucket. Stunning it’s a diesel. Stunning it’s both running and driving.
Did you happen to refer them here? B ecause with passion enough to keep that baby up and going, and in decent shape to boot, something tells me that they might be our kind of folks.

Like most cars at work, I'm on the clock. So I have to sneak a shot of it.

We had an 81 gaser as a first car given by my grandparents for my brother and I to learn on . Fwd v8 couch going down the road.. it didn’t take long for me to get my $$ together and buy myself a 4x4, leaving my brother with the ol’ Toronado for quite awhile..

That is nuts, I’d rather have a rare mid 80's Cherokee Pioneer diesel though!

I always say they are like sitting on a couch trying to drive your kitchen counter.

Toronado? Can’t zoom, for whatever reason ...

Could have been reengined with one of the Goodwrench Target engines, which were much improved over the originals.
Of course, you do have outliers. A few years ago, a friend of mine was talking nostalgically about the diesel 88 his aunt & uncle had when he was a kid, apparently they kept it over 20 years in Western PA without a single problem. He honestly had no idea those engines had such a horrible reputation.
