local police impound auction
TV greaseball Richard Rawlings says you make the money on the purchase, so i’m in for $32 plus a six pack to borrow a trailer to get it the 5 miles home. no it doesn’t run. no it doesn’t drive. yes the window and sunroof are open while stored outside for who knows how long.

$32? You could haul it to the scrapyard and make a few hundred bucks.

Or part it out and then haul the remains to the yard. At that price I don’t think you can lose.

will have to get it home and do a more thorough inventory of needs before deciding whether it becomes an organ donor or try for a resurrection.

Just parting it out should easily net you the money back. Headlight reflectors per example looks good still.

In most places, scrap isn’t what it used to be. Even in it’s prime, you might get 250-300 for it.

Kind of jealous, has the potential to be an awesome project (or a disaster)

Gut it for the parts and sell it to a Lemons team.

kind of digging the factory alloys, but i don’t think they will stance like all the cool kids are doing these days

if you skin it out, you can pull some decent bank off of it....... cut off the cats, strip down the wheels, pull the radiator, sell off the battery core, cut the wiring out, sell off the starter and alternator as motor cores. pull off any large chunks of aluminium. sell off any valuable fenders, lights....... and then scale what is left of the body...... thats the long game, and MIGHT pull off 650-700(them cats) .......

I didn’t necessarily mean stance, just lower with wheels that don’t have a terrible offset. But spacers and lower on oem rims would work the same.

if it goes to parts , the whole front grill might just hang in my shop on the wall.

You won’t. : )

Seems apt for someone named xsnowpig. Certainly looks like a Winter car to me.

Kind worried by the sunroof and window being open thing...hope it has some floors left. So you live somewhere that gets a lot of rain?
Definitely a good buy at only $32!!! If you could get it running, that would be awesome. Manual or auto? Guessing auto?

it has 3 pedals! pulling the carpet is an absolute must, but the lack of recent rain locally leaves me cautiously optimistic.

That is an awesome/horrible idea. The next logical step is to buy a running but rusty Camaro/ Sn95, or maybe e46 and swap that drivetrain into the more attractive body. Or

Hard to go wrong at that price.
