Um... How do you do a “full restoration” when half of the unibody is gone? !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

I swear it’s falling apart as they take the photos.
Here’s what to do! Pick a more modern chassis, preferably body-on-frame for simplicity, and graft what’s left of this Jag onto it. None of this “full restoration” business. What car would you choose?

You gotta wonder whether they are trying to sell it to an idiot, or whether they are the idiot trying to get their money back.

The logical choice would be a Mustang, the illogical choice would be a modern XK8.
Logical:
Illogical.

They don’t even have pictures of it on the lift, probably because it’d have split in half. Pretty sure it transcends idiocy on both fronts for $35k.

Post 2002 XK8s are a safe bet, but those fucking things are unicorns.

“Full restoration” is such a nebulous phrase. I mean, does it really exclude making this E into a twin-transmission air-cooled Deutz-powered drifter on a Blazer chassis? I’m not sure it does.

It had the same owner for many years and it has been sitting in storage until very recently.
“storage” apparently was a shallow pond.

At best 50% if that is restorable. The rest can be fabricated. But at that point would it be a new build or a restoration?

This company
Though to be fair, this is pretty much par for the course over there. They do occasionally have some real goos buys though.

How did they even transport that from the swamp it was sitting in

It still has the VIN plates. That is what makes it a candidate for a "full restoration".

I knew this would be that seller just by the lead image.
Admire some of their other listings, amusing.
Their sad ponton coupe gets me:
