For my second motorcycle sale ever, I sold the Rebel for exactly what I paid for it. The person I got it from told me I can ride on his registration until 2020 and I was doing just that. So I didn’t even lose registration fees.
I rode it 1,000 miles, didn’t fix the tank, didn’t fix the tyres, and left the rust and bad paint as is. I hope the new owner changes those tyres because they’re crazy bad.
What I did change was remove the saddle bags, remove the windscreen, then I added a LED headlight bulb. I also performed an alignment on the handlebars since the previous owner messed it all up when he dropped it.
What’s going to replace it? I’m going to get the largest most interesting thing I can for under a grand. lol

I know looking at Craigslist in southern Ohio is a huge help, but this caught my eye for that price.

Bonus, you could swing by the Air Force museum before going home.
