I’m leaning towards getting these because anything is better than the stockers, but I sometimes feel the Style 5s are too rice/stance for me. The goal of this car is to have a perfectly streetable car that will do a few HPDE events & track days. Racecar. Dadcar.
My car is a slightly deeper shade of green, but the Style 5s are the same 17” black mesh with the silver barrel and red BBS center caps
Thoughts?

They’re sharp, but weaves are a bitch to keep clean. My index finger hurts just thinking about my e38. The dark centers would alleviate that a bit though, I guess.
Pretty sure I'd go gold weave though, were I in your shoes. Which again, bitch to keep clean, but mmmmmm.

Style 32's would look classier but are more expensive.

Style 5s would look great on an E36 with a slightly lowered stance, especially if it’s set up for track days!

Yessir. I’ve got the Bilstein HDs and I’m just waiting for my H&R Sports to arrive, then the install party begins.
3.23 LSD, strut/spring combo above, and stainless brake lines. The car already has a Dinan Intake, Chip, and Exhaust

basketweave all the bmws! I am pulling my style 5s off my wagon and putting them on the m5. I also have them on my e30. fuck stancenation for ruining them by association haha
I just can’t decide if I will sell the m5 rims after that or not. Part of me thinks for resale (my cars never last longer than 2 years...) I should hold onto them.

Y ou bring up a great point. I have a set of Evo X Enkei wheels on my TL and they suck to keep clean. Side note; never ever buy a set of wheels that you think you can refinish just because they’re cheap. I don’t think my my fingers regained feeling for 3 weeks afterward

I feel like the weaves were made for 80s and 90s German cars. A timeless combination. But then Stancebois came along and ruined everything good

You’re quite right. 32s are beautiful on the E36 , but they’re rare and likely outside of what I want to spend at the present time

its like rice all over again. Part of me appreciates it though from that angle, I did like looking at the gaudy civics on the 90s/2000s even though that was never my style. (although I think it would be hilarious to get a 99 silver civic, rice the shit out of it but drop a twin turbo LS in it. My coworker drives a stock one, told him i will buy it for $200 when he is ready to sell...)

I think 5s will still look really good, just put a slightly wider than recommended tire on there to distance yourself from any Stancenation looks
