I’m still hung up on that WestJet 737-200/300(?). Is this a static display or still in use? I haven’t flown on one in about 30 years. Very loud and inefficient.

That is our one local school (that I know of) that produces licensed aircraft mechanics, so that old plane could very well be the resident guinea pig that every student practices on!

Makes sense...you wouldn’t normally see one of those still in operation except in South America or parts of Africa where the pollution/noise restrictions are much more lenient.

Yep, this is correct - it was donated in 2003 as a training aircraft for airframe mechanics.
