The last couple of weeks have been abnormal due to the aborted trial, then vacation and closet building.
Today really starts the new routine I have planned for my work to reduce stress. Both new lawyers have started, and I deliberately hired people wirh a combination of experience, fearlessness, and a bit of a chip on their shoulder. I plan to send them into battle while I direct the action from the office. I am hoping that if I can stay a step removed from the fray (particularly spending less time talking to other lawyers) I can reduce stress by being a tactician rather than a fighter.
I have done a good job with diet, and a mostly good job with exercise. Stress is the toughest one for me in light of my job. At cardiac rehab, they gave me a cartoon of a guy banging his head on his desk and some generic stress management platitudes. It really wasn’t that helpful.

Have you looked into doing yoga or martial arts? I hear they’re a good healthy outlet for stress.

Good job sticking with the diet and exercise!
Mrs. EngineerWithTools and I finally rejoined weight watchers last night, after falling off the wagon (and watching it disappear over the horizon) before the birth of EngineerWithTools Jr. a year ago. Taking care of a tiny human while in your early 40s is... tough.
Good luck with the stress reduction plan, which should include more Chaser time!
