!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Still has a trunk though... if only it was liftback like the Escala. Slots below the CT5.

A-Pillar distance to front axle looks fairly far though.

Kinda looks like FWD overhang to me. Like most of its competitors.

Side profile says RWD to me, but I’m not going to be shocked if it’s FWD. Though I’d also be shocked if AWD wasn’t offered, and they already have a RWD/AWD setup from the ATS and CTS so I can’t see why they wouldn’t continue using that setup.
Here’s hoping, anyways.

Thing is ATS and CTS are both going away. CT5 is supposed to replace both, and this slots below the ATS’ former position.

At this angle it looks much shorter. I’m more looking at the A-pillar vs front wheel distance.

# 6 is the one that looked like a lot of front overhang to me ( compare this to a CTS). But yes, there is a lot of room between the wheel and A pillar, too, so I’m certainly uncertain.
I * hope* it’s RWD.

That design signature is going away as FWD cars are being built with PHEV variants in mind.

It’s RWD. Before he left, de Nysschen said it would be the fastest “in that segment” around the ‘ring.

Nevertheless the development
work was put in, and I see no reason why they wouldn’t continue using the system. Especiall
y since they’re still struggling to shed their old guy car image... I don’t think they’ll go back to FWD without a very
good reason.

Then I can only hope a manual is still on the list if performance and driver’s car is what they are going for...
