My wife just sent me this picture. It seems slightly less insane knowing it was on the clearance shelf at Walmart.

Who among you wants to try fruit punch flavored pickles?

Maybe they just shouldn’t call them pickles. Because a cucumber steeped in fruit flavor sounds interesting. But the word pickle here is making me ralf in my mouf a little.

I think the choice of selling them as spears is another issue. I think a relish might be a good option. My sister in law makes a black bean patty that I think a fruity relish would compliment well.

I love sweet pickles and am probably one of the least picky eaters you’ll ever meet. This idea is absolutely repulsive to me.

My grandfather used to take that to work for lunch at least once a week. I tried it once and somehow managed to swallow it instead of spitting it out.

I told my wife that if I wasn’t leaving my current job I would’ve bought a jar for my current employers white elephant gift exchange this year.
