I almost bought a 1979 Malibu Wagon a few weeks ago. It was brown. Tan vinyl interior. Clean and straight as an arrow and I will kick myself for a long time for not pulling the (kinda pricey) trigger...
That coupe looks real sleepy. I like it.

That with an S BC would be a fun cruiser.

Still cool. I like the dog dishes on this car.

Reminds me a lot of my parent’s old car. It was a 1979/80 2 door Malibu. It was... interesting. I think my dad didn’t like it very much because it seemed like half the fasteners on it were metric and half were imperial. He eventually gave it to one of my older brothers, and he drove it for quite a while - basically until the rear frame rusted apart. There wasn’t much holding the rear bumper on by that point.

I have always wondered if Malibu coupe could be turned into a formal-roof 2+2 GT.. I wonder if F-body Firebird or Camaro pieces could be grafted on to give the car pop-up headlights, or at least a lower hood-line somehow... but all GM easily-salvaged parts.
Sort of in the vein of Ferrari 400/412i, DeThomaso Longchamp, or Bitter SC.
