This is just one small subset of the participants and I’ve already seen several full-sized trucks and Willys.

I just saw one of those Willys Wagons on CL while looking for interesting cheap cars:

1963 willys wagon auto 4x4—california jeep— - $4650 (west warwick r.i.)

I get the distinct impression that they brought it over to the East Coast and then discovered there was a lot more wrong with it than they hoped.
