I’m not sure if this is from a misunderstanding about sharks or airplanes or both.
It’d work better if the “move” and “act” verbs are swapped like this:
‘Sharks move through the water like airplanes move through the air! A shark’s tail acts like a propeller to move the shark forward and their fins act like wings to create lift.’
Fluid dynamics is a bit of an advanced topic for watermelon sharks though.
