*ugh rant after buffer*
I either need a decent raise from my current employer, a new higher paying job, or to win the lottery. All feel equally as probable. I am super stressed about finical things atm on top of all the other f***ing stressors in life.

I know that feeling. As much as I love what I do, someday I won’t be able to afford to work for the university anymore.

Good luck. I'm sure that you've already done this, but if you can't earn more, you can always work on spending less, at least for now. I'd love to get paid more, but really I just need to watch my expenses better. We recently dropped our cable TV plan so that's saving us like $100 a month. For me, it's typically lots of little things instead of one big expense that gets me. I won't go out and blow $100 at the casino, but I will go out to lunch too often instead of packing. It adds up.

It’ll get better. My current job is on the chopping block if my latest interview goes well. I got moved to a different office and was sprung with new hours, and having to support more demanding and time critical clients. Current supervisor is always high strung, and definitely treats me differently than others, and generally the wrong way. I could move to a new company for the same pay, better benefits, and have the ability to climb the ladder. My current company doesn’t offer any of that.
