That’s a Citroën Xantia. I didn’t even know they could rust. This is clearly the result of poorly repaired damage.

My friend’s Xantia was rotten from the same exact place. It wasn’t that bad though but still needed
quite a lot of new steel.

Interesting. I own its sibling (Peugeot 406 coupe) and that’s as rust free as they come, at 18 years and 336k km old. Always parked outside, driven on salted roads.

No we use expanding foam insulation. Because it looks like cheese. There’s a neon down the road from my hous with the entire driver’s side tailight held in with the stuff
