My cousin thought the rumors about Ricciardo going to Ferrari seemed odd given how Vettel doesn’t play well with others. Looks like Ferrari will probably be Vettel and Lec lerc next year then. I wonder who will be number 2 behind Verstappen next year.

H onda may still suck, he has to bet on who gets better.

Kimi will probably stay, Leclerc is good xbut probably not ready for Ferrari pressure.

But hasn’t Ric been driving better? Or just had better luck?

Renault better step their aero game up for next season, especially if there are no power gains that could come close to Mercedes or Ferrari.

Dr. MArko gets what Dr. Marko wants. That is why Alonso and Hamilton never went to Red Bull.

Ricardo does have more wins and points. I also think,
this decreases his chances of getting any wins next year.

Money. Or victory. Pick one.

So who replaces him, Gasly or Sainz?

I do too. I think it’s a bad move for him professionally, but based on some of the replies here it’s more a matter of self preservation. I’d love to see what he could do in a Ferrari or a Mercedes.

As much as I love Kimi, I think Ferrari needs some new blood and the sooner Leclrec gets seat time to sooner he could become a top driver.

Mine too. He’s earned it.

Not necessarily... I refused a job that could have provided me with over 10k$ per month after taxes , all that to earn A LOT less elsewhere because I think the potential, challenge and freedom were better there ... Ricci ardo is a multimillionaire with no need for an extra couple millions here and there... If he moved to Renault, it might be for the challenge and because he thinks it could be an opportunity to spice up his daily life?

Yes but like me, Ricciardo is an Australian. We take our victories in many flavours and currencies.

Riccardo is going to Renault because Red Bull is likely going to fall out of the top 10 next year. At least Renault allows him to reasonably expect to get top 5s.
