When you go to sell it 20 years down the road let me know... actually scratch that...don’t let me know because it’ll probably still be worth what you paid for it

Awesome! How did the deal work out with that? Are you eating the sticker because you ordered (and because it’s a Tacoma)?

Awesome. I love it! I will keep telling you that.

Found a dealer near Kansas City willing to play on price - getting $2250 off MSRP plus whatever incentive they have at time of delivery (hopefully at least $1000?).

Pretty happy with it. Granted, I probably could’ve spent a few grand more and had a Silverado or an F-150, but I really had no interest in a full-size.

I tried to explain to my Father that the Taco was a winner for what he needed. I mentioned the fantastic resale value etc. He didn’t like the spartan interior and also felt he could get a lot more with just a little more money.
He spent a lot more money and got a gigantic red F150 3.6 ecoboost with the 6ft bed . It’s super nice, but is huge and since he has no real need for a pickup haha it’s way more than he needs. He has trouble parking it and my mom won’t drive it, haha.
I like it but wouldn’t want to own it. Its faster than any big pickup has any right to be, but it is just gigantic and feels like it.

That’s where I’m at - didn’t want something huge, and I won’t be towing anything crazy. Will be daily-ed 4 days a week, used for hauling stuff from Lowe’s, etc, and moving stuff around on our land, taking camping trips (eventually doing some overlanding) and getting dogs, bikes, kayaks, etc. from point A to point B.

I would honestly be in the market for a new Taco if I didn’t already have the Ranger. That little truck has already seen more truck duty than my dad’s truck will ever see.
Every once in a while I kick around trading the Ranger for a truck that is safe enough for our new baby and can fit both dogs (an 8 month old 125 lb rambunctious puppy, and a 5 year old 70 lb boxer who is a very good boy). I haven’t had the ranger long and I love it, and I can’t have anything denting my 911 budget. So that is on hold for now.

Definitely don’t dent the 911 budget!
