In these days of $60K C-class and $95K E wagons (both non AMG) , this doesn’t seem excessive.

Doug’s latest video?
That Ferrari comment is how he justified it but even though it starts around 160K, the example he tested was 200K almost right? That’s definitely super car pricing.
It’s not like he was talking about the original (Nissan) GT-R back in 2009.

Getting the MSRP of any Mercedes to exceed 100k was already possible in the days of the 300E.

It’s priced like a Viper.

300E, in DM?
For non-AMG models in the US where prices are cheap (and exclude tax), recent price movements are sticker shock.

IIRC the Viper was $8 5-125 k.

Most Vipers were around $100k, and the ACR was about $120k . The regular AMG GT starts at $112k.

I’m just here to give the Viper credit. The cheap AMG GT also “only” has 46 9hp.
I’d say its priced more like a 911, which is faster. Kind of kills Doug’s point that its such a great deal.
