In this context, “unmemorable” doesn’t mean people who should buy it forget to consider it. Unmemorable means it disappeared and no one noticed.

I’d never noticed one until the other day when a gorgeous brunette stepped out of a red one. Even then I only noticed because I thought “Why is she driving that?”

I was behind a blacked out one last night with very loud exhaust and all I could think was “huh, they must finally be out of cheap Infiniti’s on the ‘we finance everybody’ lots.”
Then I remember that, of course they weren’t. That will never happen.

I have a friend who really wanted one of these after her car was totalled. She ended up with an Altima sedan instead. Recently, we were driving somewhere and passed an Altima coupe. I pointed it out to her as the car she originally wanted, and after a moment she replied "oh yeah!" because even she had forgotten about the coupe.

Yes.
I saw one on the road recently and the first thought I had was “does that g35 have a body kit..?”

another story with one of these? Years ago at my old job I had a coworker buy one and SWEAR to me that it was the hottest biz around.
“yeah, but FWD, thats a bummer though right?”
“What are you talking about, its not front wheel drive!”
“uh...”

My mom had one for a year or two. She traded it in on a G37.

I think as far as boring economy cars go, the Altima Coupe is pretty decent looking. Never drove one so I wont comment on that. In general I dont understand the point of the Altima. The Sentra and Maxima seem to be the options to go for depending on if you want medium sized low end or bigger slightly nicer. But that is moreso because the Sentra got so huge now that there is no size difference between the two.
But I also really like the styling of the G35/G37 so naturally the Altima Coupe is going to make me think the same exact thing, but just cheaper and wrong wheel drive. Shoulda made an Si competitor with the Altima.

If Kia sold the Stinger with two tailpipes instead of four, no one would know what it is. They’d think it was an Optima.
Here, have the diesel one. Because sure.... lets give a 4cyl petrol engine 4 exhaust tips. But a 4 cyl Diesel? Hell no!

The Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera coupe is so forgettable you forgot to make this post about it.

While the total sales for the altima are >200,
000 per year they don’t break out coupe sales. I am interested to know how many were coupes.

I t is bland and just keeps hanging around.

damn, that is a forgotten bland-mobile.
Reminds me of the similarly forgotten Cutlass Calais (even with the Quad 442 package) A friend in high school had an FE3 Calais in the trademark maroon over gray “ground effects” oe body kit and pedestal wing on the trunk (which was ridiculous behind the formal roofline) , but it was sort of abused by the time he got ahold of it.
And the Toronado Troféo. My first college girlfriend’s parents had one of the earlier body style ... one of the first cars I knew of to have automatic soft- closing trunk latch, and an in-dash touch-screen HVAC/stereo/computer... quite posh, but a bit more understated than a brash Caddy.

I thought of the Calais too but they actually sold a half decent amount of those. Trofeo was "special." Ciera sedans were everywhere in the 80s, including at my house. My mom had a white '85 or '86. But you never saw the coupes.
