To this day, I’ve never understood how a spider (similar to size in OP) would take down a brand-new 1070 card.

Somehow, it was covered under warranty through EVGA (even though it technically counts as physical damage. Anything apart from physical/logistic damage is okay, apparently.) Then again, it was showing signs of it being on its last leg through overclock.

Are you in Nashville? My BIL lives there, and has sold his house due to a Brown Recluse infestation they can’t get rid of, and has had to pass on another couple for the same issue. Those bastards apparently can’t be killed with anything short of a nuke, soo....

No I live in NW Montana and this is a hobo spider, poisonous but not as bad as a black widow or brown recluse.

It’s a hobo spider getting ready to unleash 100's if not thousands of little tiny hobo spiders inside my house. Believe me we have plenty of non-poisonous spiders already taking up a peaceful residence in our house.

There’s extremely low probability this  is a hobo spider (not that they’re dangerous - that’s a myth perpetuated by low-information people that hate spiders). If you have many other spiders in there, it’s even less likely this is a hobo, as most house spiders would live in caves and hobos are outdoor spiders. It’s very likely to be any of a wide variety of common house spiders like the giant house spider.
