I had to go back to town to get paperwork form out main office, stop home and got the Rabbit because why not. Also discovered this gem after a pit stop at Napa for some oil.

Now I’m trying to remember where my bottle stash was on my Rabbit, because it wasn’t there.

On the plus side, the airbox is designed in such a way that you can open it up and get out assorted funge. On the minus side, the box catches a lot, never *actually* gets cleaned out, and the top cover is made of potato.

VW oil leaks are installed at the factory, so yeah, zee Germans knew exactly what they were doing.

Your excitement for this car is palpable. Also it looks like there is room for a dipstick rag underneath the quart of oil if that spot stays relatively dry.

I really do love this little traffic cone. Best stupid decision I’ve ever made. I’ve alresdy put about 500 miles on it in 5 days. As a bonus it’s the cheapest car I’ve ever owned... so far. Seriously. The runner up would be my 91 Civic that was 600 bucks. Half of what I paid for the Rabbit, however I dumped 800 into immediately for maintenance, not mods for fun stuff just keep it on the road stuff, before I even had 100 miles on it. The Galant was 1500 but that needed another 1,000 in parts alone before it hit the road. The Rabbit was 1250, and the only extra expense it’s had was the 9 bucks I’ve spent on oil.
