Wasn’t happy with how they looked the 1st time, so I had them blasted and did them again. This is before clearcoat:
Then I got them cleared:
3 good coats of clear and they look like glass:
Now I’m happy with them ;)

Damn, that’s some good shine. Hopefully with the 3 coats of clear it’ll be a pretty durable finish.

I love everything about this. What clear is that?

It’s actually Napa brand clear. It’s all we use anymore. It’s cheap, gives a great shine, and seems to hold up well.

They need to be replaced, that’s why I didn’t worry about getting paint on them.

I’ve had really good luck respraying wheels with auto clear.
The wheels on my van still look good after 4 yrs of being used year round.

Tires are junk, so I didn’t care.

Is that a two part clear? If it’s got hardener, it should hold up great.
