Can’t wait to leave a review on Amazon for these bad boys.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! on my cheap Verizon LG K20 V (horrible phone, do not recommend except it works and its thin and has brass-esqu trim) because, like the phone, I bought the cheapest thing on Amazon that had a bundled screen protector. The kickstand was an added bonus that needed a damn prybar to pull out, but a little sanding of the locking tabs fixed that issue.

Other problems were it was a bit bulky and hard and slippery on the back, and the rubber surround would pick up lint when placed in a pocket.
About two weeks ago though, the tabs on the corners that hold the hard plastic to the soft rubber started breaking off. When I lost 3 of the 4, and #4 was developing a crack, I ordered a new case.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and I like it better already. The “tire tread” isn’t soft rubber like I assumed it would be, but the dot-texture on the sides and top is VERY grippy. I like the more matte color of it, and its less shiny slippery plastic like the old one was, though the damn kickstand needed sanding of the lock tab so I don’t break a damn fingernail off trying to open it. The volume buttons are also less pronounced than the old case, and feel... better.
Not bad for $8 delivered in two days.

I religiously buy TPU cases for my phones, and almost always from Diztronic. What is your new case made of?

“I didn’t buy this, it looks good” 4 stars
“I dont have the right phone for this case” 1 stars

Plastic and rubber....? I’m just trying to keep the phone from getting scratched, and make it more comfortable to hold. I don’t usually drop my phones.

What!!! I've owned both these exact cases! S P O O K Y.....but yeah. The one on the right is shit and broke while in my pocket while the left one lasted me about 2 years, I think more.

Ut oh. Well, as long as it lasts more than 5 months, or until I upgrade phones again I’ll be happy.

Gotcha. The tread pattern would drive me nuts, personally.
TPU is a type o f flexible-yet-rigid plastic; you can bend it and flex it, but it holds its shape really well. I know silicone/gel cases tend to loosen up over time, unless they’re thick. TPU can stay nice and thin, can be relatively grippy (even the slick cases), and is resilient enough to stay quite protective.

I hate these cases with kickstands because you absolutely do have to sand down how they lock in, but not only that, it tends to make the case far thicker than necessary.
Just give me some extra padding on the edges, a bumper case, like what these old iPods got:

I had a TPU case on one of my older phones. Unfortunately it did not make it waterproof that time I left it in my hoodie pocket and threw it in the wash...
I got the tread design for the lulz.

I’m not a fan of how thick they make them either, but the benefits of the stand outweigh the cons.

I know that experience. I had an HTC One M8, my first new phone in a long time (not a hand-me-down)... did the research, found the one i wanted, got a good deal on it, loved it for a few months, took it with me on a cruise because the camera was awesome, and totally forgot it was in my pocket when i went swimming.
Then I continued to pay it off for the next year- and- a- half. Ugh.

What really bothers me is when people respond to the Q&A questions by saying they don’t know. That is not at all helpful. And Amazon even provides a link or button or something specifically for you to click if you don’t know (which shouldn’t be necessary at all), probably specifically to try to fight this behavior, and people are still too dumb to not clutter things up with non-answers. Really they should just spike answers that contain don’t know.

At least they do use verified purchase as one of their ranking criteria these days. Doesn’t help with reviews telling you that they haven’t used the product yet, or that they gave it as a gift (without even any indication as to whether the recipient liked it).

I’m just glad I haven’t seen any PAID reviews in a while.

Go with the left one. Trust me, it's way worth it. I had it on my Galaxy S5 and the other one on my Moto G4 and the edge of the left one only broke a bit after 2 years. My dad knows what's up with the Amazon stuff so I know a thing or two about it lol.

That was my old one. I threw it out because 3 tabs were broken.

Yikes. The one on the right definitely looks cooler, but fell apart in my pocket. Hold up, gonna go take pics of them.
