But you already have too many projects. Either way, this car was a riot:

That’s an interesting take on the RX7 swap.  What kind of power did that put out?  A bit lighter than a conventional V8 swap I assume?  Always wanted to do one of these.

IIRC stock the supercharged Essex was 210 hp, 315 lb-ft. The ‘89 Thunderbird SC with the anniversary paint scheme was my favorite car when I was in high school.

That bottle of coolant in the driver’s seat is quite telling..... headgaskets? Pretty typical for that motor.

Even though they’re not obscuring the license plate, good to see they got the requisite Craigslist Thumb™ in.

It does say it comes with a new radiator.

No idea.

The motor was completely gone through before install, but that was 8 yrs and who knows how much abuse prior.

The woman who bought it after we built it had it dyno’d. IIRC it was in the neighborhood of 450 hp/500ft-lbs at the wheels. Pretty sure she also added a smaller pulley and other things later, but this was 8+ yrs ago, so my memory on everything isn’t exactly crisp.

We were building it for a drift car, so we wanted to keep it as light as possible, while being able to keep it balanced, so the V6 mounted tight to the firewall was the obvious choice (that and it happened to be sitting in the corner of the shop).

So tempting...  but mommas going to be off work for a few after our daughter is born anyway now, so probably not the best time to drop a couple grand on a toy.  Someday.

If I had the time and space right now I would go buy it.

3rd gear sideways around round-a-bouts was great practice. ;)
