Turned 39 as of midnight last night . I am almost plunging into my mid life crisis. I am going to marry a younger man and get a convertible . What convertible should I get?

How much are you looking to spend and what sort of experience do you want?

If you can spend a little and want sporty, then there isn’t much out there that does it better than the boxster.

Want speed and comfort? I would say a used 650i or M6 convertible. You may even be able to find a 6 in a manual, I think.

I lived in Texas for 3 years, they don’t enforce the front plate law. Drove the M3 around sans front plates.

39? Happy birthday and all but you probably aren’t old enough for a midlife crisis if you are doing it right.

My next birthday number will have a 5 in front of it for the first time...and I still haven’t had time (or inclination) for a crisis. But I expect to live a long time so maybe it'll happen...

The XJ6 was our midlife “ things are actually pretty good” purchase. A fter not going broke getting our miracle newborn son out of the NICU without going broke and just before turning 40.
