I present to you the Channel 4's “The Secret Life of Machines” and History Channel’s “Automobiles”. I truly believe both series contributed to my love of all things mechanical and related.
Of course, all this stuff aired when The Learning Channel actually played educational content and the History Channel stuck to its name.

I loved those as well. The cartoons especially. I remember watching them on Discovery in the early 90’s.
