I am thinking of getting a ceramic coating or transparent wrap on my car to protect it from daily driving and stone chips.

(I need to get a few stone chips and small scratches taken care of first.)

Has anyone had good or bad experience with any products? Opticoat, CQuartz, 3M wrap?

Do any of these products protect car paint from stone chips at all?

A guy I work with just spent nearly 2K to put a “diamond coating” on his new Mustang.  He likes it and it’s “guaranteed for life”.  I think I will continue with my $4 spray wax.

I think most of them will protect your wallet from getting too heavy more than anything else.

Save the cost of it, and instead wash & wax regularly, and touch up any small chips as you find them.

Proper clear paint protection film is what I’d recommend. It actually works super well and protects even soft paint from chips.
