I’ve been editing some photos I took of this car, but it is very hard to know how high Kinja will go on resolution. This one was scaled at 1920x1080 and it seems to load (16mb) , but I’m using a mall’s relatively good internet connection, back home it would deny me the upload all together.
My mother (who is a professional photographer) had configured her camera to save as raw files, and I used rather rudimentary tools to reduce the size and make them . PNGs.
She also scolded me for not adjusting the lighting or “using the fucking rule of quarters” or something.

I haven’t ever found an upper limit on res, but I never upload more than...say...16mp files. and its rule of thirds you philistine :)

That is the best colour for a 993 (turbo)!
I like the composition of the shot, would be a nice desktop wallpaper. Sure, there’s some improvement possible, but the composition is the only thing that you can’t easily fix, so you did the hardest thing good!

I once tried to break it and uploaded hundreds of photos in on one post it took them all but has a real hard time loading it.

16MB is way too large for a 1080p photo. jpegs are your friends.

1080p = 1920x1080
PNG is a lossless format. It offers some compression, but it is much more suited to compressing illustrations or graphics than photographs .
JPEG is not lossless, but it is designed to offer much better compression of photographs (smaller filesize without degrading image quality as perceived by human eyes).
So yes, jpeg reduces quality but as long as you don’t compress the hell out of it, you won’t notice a difference. It’s a matter of a 150kb jpeg or a 16mb png.
