A-W really nailed the post-WWII aesthetic for road equipment, but they passed through too many hands, and got stuck looking the wrong way when steam railroad engines were replaced by diesel-electrics. The company was shuttered in ‘78, though there’s still a brisk trade in parts for their sweepers. Someone is keeping those beauties running.
