I don’t feel as strongly about this bike as the F 800 GS; but I would be surprised if it’s not as smooth or smoother than the big twin BMW, as this has a triple.

Also, every ADV, dualsport, travel and naked bike should have a center stand.

Change my mind.

it’s a superior machine to the F800...I had the BMW and it’ll be the last BMW thing I ever own (previously 5 cars)

I mean, I have little experience with bikes, and the reviews I’ve read of the tigers make them seem lackluster (not that he F800 isn’t) but I guess I’ll have to ride it to know.

Generally is Triumph reliable?

GS is a better adventure bike due to better off road capability. Triumph has the better powerplant here with a triple over the thumper. It’s smoother and has a power band more to my liking. I think BMW and Truimph are likely on par with each other in terms of reliability. In my experience talking to different owners is that Triumph suffers from more annoying little issues where BMW (especially in my experience) is either trouble free or suffers larger failures. I’m not aware of Triumph parts pricing, but I can tell you BMW Motorrad stuff is extremely pricey ($75 thermostat).

you can’t go wrong on either, I’d add the Kawasaki , Honda and Yamaha offerings. Price to play is less in every aspect and they are fantastic machines.
