This nice gentleman rode off with my first scooter this afternoon, after giving me a wad of cash. The Kymco Super 8 150 was my first scoot. I owned it for just about two years, put nearly 1,000 miles on it, and sold it for $100 more than I paid for it . It will always hold a special place in my heart, but tomorrow I will exchange that was of cash for a better scooter. My buddy’s Yamaha Zuma 125.

I kind of want a scooter, but I’m going to need one capable of 60-65 mph, as most of my driving is through rural areas - so really it’s just acting more like any old motorcycle with a scooter shell.

You really want a dual sport, not a scooter. A WR250r will be a blast on rural roads and it’ ll give you the freedom to explore places that you can’t go on anything else.

I bought a cheap janky Honda Helix about aomth ago to run the next Gambler 500-Illinois. It’s got a 250cc engine, and from what I’m told will run 70mph all day. I still need to get mine in fighting shape to try that.
