Do we like this? Across from my building this afternoon ...

The wheels are of the “I’m a poser who likes big wheels but I want to hide that fact by painting them black and getting weird low-profile off-roader tires that make no sense” type.

The Jeep says
I’m ready for the zombie apocalypse
The modifications say
But I can’t survive without WiFi

Bro probably spent $10k in mods to let everyone know he doesn’t go off road.

Just right for the jungles of Manhattan, also popular in the cloned condo and tract house developments of the suburban PNW. Just rugged enough to scale the entrance to Bellevue Square or an office campus parking garage speedbump.

It's not jolly and yellow like my jeep.

Bet it only has two pedals. Also anyone who mounts a full-width light bar without a cover is just an asshole. Even off-road, which this minivan has likely never been, there's absolutely no need for it. All you're doing is destroying your own night vision and blinding anyone else around you if you ever turn it on.

Nope to that. I don’t use my light bar much, but it’s the biz on deserted desert roads and trails.

Well we already know you’re an asshole.
I have two 36W, 7" bars on my MJ. It’s way more than enough light, even for 60+ mph on winding gravel roads through forests, land and a half side with no shoulder or much of a ditch, in areas that rank well below 2 on the Bortle scale, that are littered with wildlife the same colour as the shadows that weigh well over 1000 lbs, where the next person may not come down the road for a few weeks. The factory sealed beams are more than good enough for driving when they're clean , the led’s are really just for pushing a bit more light outwards into the tree line. Any brighter just creates shadows where you can't see anything at all because you're blinding yourself with all the reflected light.

I’m trying to decide if you’ re serious...

Usually I hate this sort of modded up barbaric Jeep, but I am liking those wheels.
And sorry guys - I’ll glance in the window next time and make a note of whether there are 2 or 3 pedals.

Yeah, everything else is whatever but those angry face grills are flipping idiotic.

I kinda like the wheels, and I am never one to go in for aftermarket shit ... does this make me a bad person?

I’d rock them on a van!!

Those are XD Rockstars and h al f the brodo zers in California have them. They are the most played out wheel you can get for a truck or Jeep. They are EVERYWHERE.

Going to have to disagree here. If you want light, those light bars put out an ungodly amount of it. Saying a 7" or even more laughably, stock headlights, can even come close to being enough for high speed off roading at night is laughable.
They are expensive and unnecess
ary bro-jewelry on most trucks, but they are absolutely the thing to have if you’re serious.

nope

The issue isn’t that they don’t put out light, it’s that they p ut out too much. You absolutely destroy your own night vision and that of anyone or anything that gets hit by the beam, whether looking straight at the light or not. When you have too much light, you can't see anything outside the beam, and anything that does get hit by it reflects it straight back into your face, making the problem worse. You want to see out better? Turn down all the lights in your cab first.

They are for going fast off road. If you aim them properly, you will be able to see really far down the road. That’s the reason trophy trucks use light bars, often multiple light bars. You want to see as much as possible. You don’t need night vision, you don’t need to see what’s out of your beam, you just need to see as far away as possible. Oncoming traffic obviously hates these, and you should turn them off if you see headlights, but if you’re in the middle of nowhere and going somewhere fast, I don’t see why you’d ever want less light.
