It’s not actually a 360 degree video, it seems - just one wrapped to a normal viewing plane.
Which is terrible.

It was apparently taken with a 360-degree camera, then an image-stabilization routine caused it to select this viewpoint which caused it to look extra trippy.
The big take-away is he broke several park rules, one being no selfie sticks (Six Flags chain-wide policy) and no cameras on rides without special permission.

Yeah, both of those seem like pretty big safety risks. Selfie-stick related crimes are pretty easy to solve, at least...
