Could not convince myself to pull the trigger on the RPF1's that cost as much as the car. I just could not find good tires in 13" anymore so I stepped up to 15's. I will be putting 195/55/r15 either BFG gForce Comp2 summers or Toyo Proxes.
Wheels are called socks on cars right, if tires are the shoes.

Yeah, calling the wheel socks makes the most sense. The wheel hub is the food, which makes the wheel the sock and the tire the shoe. Makes sense too, as socks generally outlast shoes, especially if you get cheap shoes.
I guess that makes the wheel bearing the ankle and the axle/half shaft the lower leg? Dif would be the knee then, I guess.

Yup I heard glowing reviews from Miata guys and decided to try them out.

I wanted them for my Miata, then found someone selling stock wheels that o refinished instead.

Initial impressions are that they seem really well made. The fit and finish is excellent and they are really light. My Civic is black so I chose the bronze, I had to fight myself not to get black and be THAT guy. Cleaning them shouldn’t be too bad.

I have the cast, matte- black Konig Heliums on my 2001 Miata because brake dust, and I like everything about them other than their bendability.
After buying 8 of them and replacing three of them because of flat-tire bends, and then buying 4 more when I replaced the other three that were bent by two Laguna Seca track-day weekends, I now have a full set on the car, a full-sized spare, and a future spare. (50 percent failure rate over about
6 years.)
I s
houlda bought the 949 Racing flow-formed 15" wheels (

)
instead. They have m
uch higher resistance to bending and (to me)
look even better than the Konig Heliums

I looked at the recycled Miata wheels too, and found that the Konig Heliums (which were better looking, IMHO) were a deal at $88 a pop, and replacements were available all day long.
That seemed like a better deal to me, because the factory 16-inch Special Edition wheels are chrome (which I don’t like too well), and finding +
any+ without curb rash or dents was pretty daunting. YYMV. . .

Those are really nice wheels. I wish I could have afforded a set of flow formed wheels this go around, but I decided to buy a house this year. I got the Heliums for $78 each shipped, and the RPF1s I wanted were about $215 for the bronze.
We’ll have to see how they hold up to the street. There aren’t potholes, for the most part, and my Civic weighs about as much as a NA Miata. I have a set of crappy late 90's TSW 13" wheels on it right now and I really like the look. It has become impossible to find decent tires for 13" wheels anymore or I would stay with them.

I went down to 15" to use for autocross, and yeah, curb rash for days. But for $45 for the set, some paint stripper, and scouring pad, some wheel paint and clear coat, I’m in for a set for less than one konig. Granted, the konig are lighter and nicer looking.

The strut, Knuckle, and Control arms assembly is called a knee.
