The car that I bought some Hoosier asphalt slicks for is gone, and the truck I was going to put them on got sold out from under me, so I sold the tires. And for the same, putridly low price I bought this putridly crappy motorcycle.
It’s a 1970 Honda CL350. It is not, exactly, all there...but the motor turns over freely and that’s all I was really concerned with anyway.
It’s a rat, and it’ll stay a rat. I’ll pull the dent on the gas tank, fabricate some sheet metal side covers, and cobble together some junk yard lighting. I might never ride it, I don’t really like riding, but I do like motorcycles. I’ll have $100 worth of fun with it in any case.

Rat rod bike? I’m SO following this project ! If you do get it working and want to get rid of it, I’d be interested (depending on your location).

Nice. My dad’s got a CL250 that age that’s complete and not too ragged, but he rarely gets to ride it
anymore.

Welcome to the CL club! My CL450 was in pretty rough shape when I first got her . She’s still a bit ratty, but much prettier now. Thisis the cleanest the tank has ever been. Has a nice sweat induced rust patina now.

Ooh, that’s sexy. Love the stripes on the tank.
