I think I might like the red lips on these wheels but I'm not certain

I saw this 997 last night. It was lowered on what looked to be nice 2-piece wheels with machined lips that had red something (maybe tape?) added to them. I’m conflicted.

It looks more pink than red to me in that pic. I'd like it more if the red was more vibrant.

They were a matte red. Whatever pink you’re seeing is because the light was weird. It  was a little before 8 pm and the sun was going down not quite directly behind the car.

I think they’re tacky from the factory too. The green line wheels on the GT2/3 RS look bad.
