Theres probably a guy who has listed all of the laps Motor Trend set at Laguna Seca (UPDATE: there is!). Accounting for driver skill (no ones touching Randy Pobst) and inaccuracies with the sim, I do think the Atom V8, Vulcan, and Mono can punch past 1:28, which is the 16 ACRs lap.

I got the BAC down to 1:35.499
It was not easy getting a clean lap with the Alfa Guila 17 after driving the Mono. I suck at the corkscrew, but did finally bring it in at 1:43.287.
Are you going in alphabetical order? Ill try some older Ferraris and Porsches later today.
Also, are you going to do another track? The Glenn, Monza, or SPA? (Did I mention that I hate the corksrew???

Glad you posted that link. I went back to make sure I was using the stock cars (F7 automatically homologates cars when you buy them). And for some reason you now have to join a race to get to the Test Drive option, but again it wants to homologate the car when you start the race....you have to change the race class to Any to keep it stock.
Anyway, I did the stock Alfa 4C (B 532)
My time = 1:45.329
R&T lap = 1:43.78
I also tried using upgraded sport tires (assuming the real-life lap times use the best street tires they can), but ironically I couldnt match my original time.
So, as we probably knew the game is rigged....I am not that good, so no way I should be even close to a real lap time after only a few laps.
Is there a way to search in Forza for similar cars/tracks/times? The menu system in F7 is awful, and I havent spent much time navigating....I just like to fire it up and race.

The slow cars are so much fun....I had a blast tonight with the Alfa GTV-6. Im using a Fanatec setup, and for some reason that car is so much more realistic than many others, especially the shifter. I got down to 2:00 but wasnt able to get any lower with a clean lap.
I assume you are renting all/most of these cars, so they are all stock (not homologated)? For instance, the GTV-6 is listed as E-276.
Thanks for posting this....much more fun than playing most of the actual career mode in F7.

No thats OK, =/-2 seconds is about a good ballpark gap between the game and reality. More serious sims like Assetto Corsa could be round +/-1sec.

For me its definitely better, as Id never really played racing games with a controller. Having said that, I think 90% of the fast times (and the people that regularly destroy me in online races) use controllers. Also, they likely tune the cars....I just like picking a car and driving.

I was really frustrated with it until I installed an unlimited $$$ mod (PC). Otherwise the grind is unbearble,they made earning money more difficult to sell loot boxes and the car collection tier system locks you out of all the good stuff initially.

I really want to get another Forza or other real life racing game now that I have a Xbox One. But I just dont feel like Id enjoy them as much without a racing wheel and pedal set up. Never felt like I could control the car right with a hand controller. Not to mention you have to buy so much extra stuff now to get the full content.

Heh, i had a blast the other day with a FIAT X1/9. Gave it cams and an exhaust to bring it up to around 100 hp and then drove it for 3 laps on the ring with some rain coming in at the end.
Wheel and 3 pedals make almost anything a total blast. But super light cars with not much power that are eager to rotate are just a joy, you can hold perfect four wheel slides with little to no oppositelock while flying around corners.

Damn, how do you drive the Bugatti? I turned on TC and ABS and still could not turn a clean lap after ~ten tries. I got 1:33.5 but ran off on the last turn. Not enjoyable.
The Vulcan is way more manageable, though I had to turn on TC. I managed a 1:30.642, which just barely outpaced my LaLaLaFerrari time of 1:30.741
I jumped in the F40 after that, which requires about 70% less shifting than the LaFerrari. I love that car, even in fake life. 1:37.4 was my best.
Some other times:
Got the Dino down to 1:54.8 and the GTV-6 to 1:57.8
Fiat 124 - 1:53.459 (forgot to try the Miata)
Porsche 550 Spyder - 1:55.741
Porsche 1973 911 RS - 1:53.768 I need more ass-engine practice.

IRL the 918 did 1:29. Not too far off, Id say, though if the ACR time here is slower than IRL it might mean that the LaFerrari could be close to sub 1:29 if they had the balls to run Seca IRL, but considering the seeming lack of downforce on a short twisty track, I really think the F70 is at a disadvantage.

Yeah, Im a quicker in the Vulcan, turns in way easier plus downforce!
Of your times, I beat your F40 time by 2 seconds (1:35.48) but my 73 Carrera RS time was right on with yours. You really have to control the weight with those old rear engine cars. It was tough to be smooth with the controller.

The game is wrong (hopefully a fix is coming soon, the turbo needs a lot less power and the N needs 5 more hp.)

The Veloster Turbo also needs a 7th gear since its modelled with the DCT.

I dont see them anywhere - does Forza 7 handle driver assist configuration differently than 6? Lap times may vary greatly with mixed skill levels depending on assists.

It has taken a lot longer to get amount of cash. Mainly because it doesnt have the affinity bonuses that 4 had(the last Forza I played). Yeah you get free cars p, but I want to buy and modify cars when ever I want to. Which in one reason Ive mostly been playing Fh3.

I am doing something similar like this, but making a c-class spec trial. This includes upgrading any lower tier vehicles to c-class. Obviously, any higher tier vehicles cannot compete. The track I use is watkins glen w/o the chicane. Its time consuming for both racing them, and modifying them! I am about 150 cars in so far. Glad to see I am not the only one with an interest like this.
