Can we not agree that this is the best looking “car” on sale
![]() 06/25/2018 at 19:45 |

I can’t dispute this

I’m partial to the widebody look on darker wheels.
Although I’d add a front splitter and air dam becau se they could suffer from some minor nose lift at high speeds with the original nose. If I own a Daytona, then I’m entering it in crazy events like the Silver State Classic.

I’m only like 30mins away from their factory. I’ve been there on a tour .

i disagree, but i don’ t have the energy to disprove

If I ever get around to building a kit car, it will b e a Shelby Daytona replica. Needs knockoff wheels, though. Even if they're knockoff knockoffs...

Yup. So so pretty.

Needs way less wheel and more Goodyear

Yeah, I’m gonna have to go ahead and post this one again, right below the one you posted. Excellent choice.

Ah, yes, the pukey Saab. Good times, good times. We should do something like that again. Maybe a group trip to the Larz Anderson museum?

kinda like the cheetah a bit better......

I just wanna build an 8-9k rpm 289 powered Cobra and do track days.

100 /10 would ls swap and dd

I completely agree. To bad it's out of my price range.
![]() 06/25/2018 at 21:05 |

Yes yes yes. Go no bigger than 16" wheels, and huge white lettering. It completes the look.

No coyote swap. Because mustang
![]() 06/25/2018 at 21:11 |

LSx swap, because it's superior in every way...

At 12 grand it may be an option

Wasn’t completely sold on #15, but #22 looks better to my eyes (if you have to change the lines of the original).

Not trying to be a hater, but it looks like they lopped off the tail.

I’ve seen a replica like this in person (not sure if this company’s or another), it wa s close enough that I’d never know any differences, visually. That sounds fantastic, to me.

This car, in antique/eggshell white with black stripes, is on my list.

Ive always like these too, due to quirkiness of what Bill Thomas came up with and it kinda being the Chevy response even with their AMA racing ban.

Ive been digging the new Factory Five 35 Pickup kit,

You gonna make it to the next Oppo rally?

tail is still there, its just....... stumpy.
it looks a LOT like they just cut off the tail......
but i like the cheetah, in a “ hatchback version” kind of way. its all to the point. like how the old austin bantam coupe was a shorty version of a ford sedan
its got some nice proportions
like a clownshoe........

No arguments, but I may have missed a few details because I want that hot-rod like whoa .

Yes, C heetahs are the right amount of bonkers.

The $12k kit is a car short of being a car. It will cost you a minimum of $30k to build it halfway decent, and $45k minimum to do it right, and that’s with you doing all the labor.

Will a coyote fit under the hood?

I have a mechanic I trust who will put used parts on (or parts I bring him), and is way cheaper than he ought to be. I’ve often mused about giving him bigger projects, and now I’m trying to work out in my head how much it would run me to have him (or rather, the mechanics who do most of the work at his shop
these days) do the installation on a project like this.

Can't decide if I'd want it to be streetable or not. I rather think I would, which would necessitate some of that stuff being removable (as well as a less aggressive roll cage).
![]() 06/26/2018 at 00:22 |

Apparently it can? I'm not sure I believe them, but it says on the website that it can.

50/50. I it will probably be a last minute decision. I don’ t even know what i’m doing this weekend . I may be in Falmouth this weekend . A guy wants to add a third g arage on his house.

If you want a good breakfast go to the Cape Cod Bagel Authority

With a tube frame chassis designed to be modular and fit damn n ear whatever, it can.

Like Bman76, I think it would cost me a lot more than $1 2k. I was figuring $50k for a complete build. Even at the $30k figure, I have trouble .

My personal preference would be lv4 (v6 using ls architecture) built out as close to a ls7 as possible. I like the sound of the V6, and I have a not so secret dream of making a 250GTO kit car. Closest I'd likely ever come...
