Lets not be negative, as a fellow OPPO-n aught, we should lead the charge in helping his through this.

I would, but last time I tried to help, someone, not saying who, got hot and blew up on me. I’m not putting up with that again.

Ford came up with the deploying door edge protectors for the Focus .
Skoda have the same for the Kodiaq.

That is ingenius. At least until it fails and your door refuses to close, or freezes and snaps instead of deploying, or fails to retract and does damage to the body when you slam the door home.

It’s been an option on the Focus since 2013 so can’t of been much of an issue to keep them (not on the new model) .

We’ll see in another 5 years or so how they fare in the long term I guess.
W onder why they 86'd em?

No idea. It wasn’t introduced from the start with the Focus Mk3 from the start, nor was it made standard.
But Skoda brought it out for the Kodiaq last year.

I was afraid it was this, until I saw the tag - I’d rather have a dead battery!
