Oppopinion: Vanity Plates

Zoidberg hasn’t been giving us enough SportCross content, so now I’m here to spam you all with 1-series posts. For today’s post, I’m going to need something to fill that plate-hole in the next month or so and I had an idea.

Does this get the Oppo Seal of Approval™? Or should I just save my money and get a normal plate? Or do you have an idea you think would be better?

What I can tell is that it’s a 2010+ presumably without the sport pack.

I wish.

My last three dailies have been manual, but my knees have been problematic for a long time and recently working a clutch every day really started to bother my left knee. I’m actually going to see an orthopedic surgeon about it soon. That played a big part in my decision to buy this instead of sticking it out with my Mazda.

It’s really disappointing because the N52 deserves a 6-speed stick behind it.

Side note: I always thought an Ohio plate on a Japanese car would be great with “GOZAIMSU” but I’m sure with Maryville’s history that’s been done.

Yeah it really does deserve a 6MT. I also really like the 1 series, sadly I couldn’t find a manual 1, pun intended, when I was shopping.

Even though mine was also an auto, I miss it at times. I also miss that color. I’m also really liking your wheels.

The dealership has a ‘13 128i convertible with 6MT, but they were asking double what they wanted for mine, which put it well outside of my budget.

It’s a 2010, no Sport Package. I’m not familiar enough with these cars to know exactly what’s what, but the salesman said it has the premium package.

What’s the significance of “GOZAIMSU”? I’ve never heard that before.

OTT of vanity plates:

Maine’s vanity plates are pretty meh for the most part, except the university support plate (not the black bear ones.) Those plates have a very clean look to them compared to the standard plates.

What I would love to have is one of the old “lobster” wildlife conservation plates-

But that was 80s and 90s, and IIRC they were replaced by this:
