Are you trying to copy and paste the photo? I rarely have issues and I use an iPhone 8 with Chrome.

iPhone 8 isn’t working, and my desktop at work isn’t working either. All those “kinja’d” posts are starting to take on an whole new understanding!

Weird. The reason I asked if you were copying and pasting a photo is because that generally doesn’t work. You have to upload the image by URL or from your computer/phone.
