I have to go to Salinas today for a deposition I really do not want to defend, but the client asked me to be there. Pumpkin does not approve.
My team made a pretty big mistake on this case (nothing that can’t be fixed) which also annoyed me. I gave big raises last year, with a challenge to them to step to the next level of responsibility. Don’t get me wrong, they are an excellent group, but they dropped the ball on this one. I am just annoyed about it today, and I really hate the lawyer on the other side of this case. This is the stuff I want to phase out of.

Random question; have you ever watched From the Hip?

Have Pumpkin defend on your behalf. If the other guy gets annoying, throw Pumpkin.

Don’t know what your rules are, but I used to get picky on question formation sometimes. Otherwise, defending is a bore, that’s true. Ball was dropped simply because someone decided to take the case?

Keep yourself entertained by objecting to every question! Your client will think you’re so diligent.

I was down there yesterday and it was hot dusty and windy. 10/10 would not want to return any day soon.
