It’s also the most overlooked Disney film that has a FUCKING FANTASTIC soundtrack. It really is one of my favorites.

But yes, this number is pretty fucked up. Are you familiar with the book at all?

Dude when I was a kid the Secret of Nimh was fucking intense! I was pretty wide eyed after that one! Fcuking Kinja, I tried to post more.... they inject rats in it, lots of near death and maybe some actual death, I won’t watch it now...

Pretty much. He doesn’t have quite the same twisted sadistic obsession with Esmeralda, but I feel he’s more manipulative.

All things considered though, the book is much darker.

Also something I forgot: in Batman Returns, the penguin was going to kidnap and murder all the first-born sons in Gotham. Much more grim than say, robbing banks or killing elected officials.
