Thinking about buying a wreck.

A wrecked CVPI, that is. I’m going to an auction’s preview today, and I need to figure out the logistics. I live in an apartment building, so storing the totaled car in the parking lot is a non-starter.

Does anyone here know of any good storage yards in Snohomish County that I can stash the car at for parting out? Also gonna have to get a flatbed trailer, too...

The reason? Well, I need to see if I can source a bunch of spare parts for my CVPI...just in case. :) Things like the transmission, engine, rear differential and axle, drive shaft, et cetera. I plan on stashing those in my storage unit — the long term goal is to use these parts to get a better understanding of the internal workings of Killer Queen , without putting my daily driver at risk.

I’d be wary of buying parts out of a wreck that you can’t verify as even “semi-OK”.

If it’s pennies on the dollar then who gives a shit, but don’t pay too much otherwise.

I doubt you will need any of those parts until you hit like 300,000 miles or more. Maybe the transmission.
