Now that the hype has died down, new Stinger GTs are going for as much as $10K off MSRP. Popped up on my Autotrader search. $3-5K discount seems normal across the board. You can get into a RWD GT base for as low as $35K now.
Meanwhile, these fuckers are living in their own reality. Let it sit in the lot for another 6 months and we’ll see them cave in

Wait till the G70 is available. Prices will hopefully drop more

Yup. In Canada at least. The G70 is not coming until August-September according to dealers in the US.

Surprisingly there are very few markups on the Yellow * Cough“Special Edition”, Most are $1-3K discount or at most MSRP

I wonder how the local dealer who tried to put a 10K ADM on GT2 at launch(apparently didn’t sell) feels now.

I guess word got out that Aspiring Engineer’s family was bottoming theirs out on speed bumps. Bad PR.

Do you have a link to his site? Might be good to check if he still has it up.

Hope you can console yourself with that fact that you get far more Wagons (Diesel and Manual also) than here in the US

I think they are just listed at full MSRP now:
https://www.sunsetkiaofauburn.com/new-inventory/index.htm?model=Stinger&sortBy=internetPrice+desc&
They had 2 listed at 62K at intro. I can’t imagine they actually lease so poorly either.

G70 2.0T RWD only else you’re out of luck across the full Kia/Genesis line.
There’s always a used 335i/340i

And soon the TV commercials that are way too loud will start for the local Kia dealer, with some combination of the words/phrases “blowout”, “once in a lifetime”, “unlimited mileage warranty”, “Everybody rides”, “All credit accepted”, and “free oil changes”.

Yeah

Actually the Yellow GT RWD is pretty special. Not only was it a real small production run, it’s the only non GT2 to get a mechanical limited slip dif.

The leases are pretty high on them. The entry level RWD model has a lease special of 299 a month, AWD is 319 a month. a GT2 AWD model has a standard lease rate of 641 a month.

Yeah that’s not too hot, especially the GT2 - even for a sign and drive, that’s dear. I assume the GT2 lease is very negotiable, or they will be soon.

Yeah, and honestly in 2020 Stinger GTs are going to be the best used performance car you can buy.

That’ll probably be the time to act, just like with their European cousins. If the Stinger is a flop, that will help depreciation, too.
