Here’s a trick I learned: go to an empty, safe location (ie not in a public road) and loosen the lugs on the wheel like an eighth of a turn. Maybe even less. Do a couple hard turns, really yank the car around, and voila, the car’s own weight un-siezes the wheel from the hub.

My sister’s Focus is the same story and the solution is the same. We usually put a block of wood on the sidewall to avoid damaging the rim and tire and give it a few hard whacks with a sledge, from the inside of the wheel while laying underneath if neccesary. We put a bit of anti-seize on the hub (only the centring part, not the face) when the winters were swapped on last so we’ll see how it does when we take them off this year (tomorrow if I can manage it with my busted ankle).

Did a mile (a mile!) of slaloms, donuts, reverse donuts, etc like this. Nada.

Alternating the sledge frontside and backside was the solution previous years, but this time around the rears just don’t want to come off. Let me know if that anti-seize works

Wow.
Did you try driving through a Springfield pothole?

anti-seize, man, that’s what it’s for.

You’ve seen the funeral home parking lot

It’s in good condition, for Springfield.

If you know it’s an issue why didn’t you put anti-seize on the hub/rotor? Where the wheel mates to it. Live in rust belt and have had this issue with older Alloy rims corroded/seized to rotors. Never had an issue after

It is not my job to come up with solutions. My job is to laugh at my brother as he exerts his frustrations on his wheel.

It almost always works. I usually do it.
